I love the industrial look of iron pipe.  It has an authenticity that really resonates with me.  Combine this with how affordable it is and every hardware carries it - winner winner chicken dinner!  Today I made bathroom towel racks, very easy, minimal tools and I love the look!

MATERIALS*all pipe is 3/4”

For the wall shelf:

Four flanges

Four 3” connectors

Two T’s

Two 90 degree elbows

Two small connectors

One 24” pipe

Wood shelf 32”x8”

For the towel storage rack:

Two 48” pipes

Four flanges

Four 6” pipes

Four 90 degree elbows

STEPS

Screw the pieces together as shown below to create your racks. Note that I used slightly different dimensions for some of the pipes in this one.

Once assembled, hand tighter all the pieces.  It’s as simple as that.  Install them by screwing them into studs or wall anchors.

Once hung, screw your shelf on through the flange from underneath.Done!
