Scrabble Wall Art

A simple project with lots of impact.  Great for the family game room, a kid's room or the cottage at the lake where you play Scrabble incessantly every summer....MATERIALS- 6" wood squares (often sold as lamp bases or decoupage plaques)- 5" vinyl letters- 1" vinyl numbers- picture hanging hardwareSTEPSLayout your words.  I know this sounds simple, but it can prove to be a little trickier than you think.  Write them out on a piece of paper and figure out where the words are going to intersect, what letters they are going to share, etc.  You may find you have to tweak your plan a little.Once you've got that all sorted, apply your large letters to the squares.  Be sure to center them vertically, but you'll need to cheat them a little bit to the left to make sure you have room to add your numbers.Using a Scrabble manual as a guide, add your letter values to the lower right hand corner. If these are going to be used outside or in extreme temperatures, give the finished a clear coating of sealer on top. Otherwise, just add your picture hanging hardware to the back and get your jumbo tiles up on the wall.TRIPLE WORD SCORE!!!
