Tea Cup Arrangements

I've always loved those lost little tea cups you see at second hand stores. So delicate...so lonely. I never knew what to do with them.....until now.

MATERIALS

Tea cup and saucer

Fork

Moss

Floral foam

Flowers (silk or live)

Hot glue

STEPS

Bend your fork at the head and then again around two inches from the end of the handle so it resembles a ladle.

Using copious amounts of hot glue attach the tines to the center of your saucer. Hold it in place until the glue sets.

Glue the cup in the air to the bent portion of the handle of the fork. Now, balance is tricky on this part. I had to play around with it a little to get the angles just right so the whole thing doesn't tip over. Don't bend the handle portion too much and you may find that you have to move the fork that's glued onto the saucer over a bit to make it work. The glue peels off the china easily so if you have to reposition, it's not a problem.

Cut two pieces of floral foam in a dome shape. Use wet or dry foam depending on if you'll be using live or faux flowers. If you're using wet foam, don't wet it until the very end. Cut one to fit on the saucer over the fork and one to nestle in the cup. Note that depending on the placement of your fork, you may need to add a slit to the saucer piece for it to slide around the fork. Us a few drops of glue to hold them in place.
